White Heat is an oversized instant book drawn from hiking all 48 of New
Hampshire’s 4,000-foot mountains.
The zine moves between trail guidance, regional history, wildlife,
exhaustion, and folklore. Text shifts direction throughout the object,
asking the reader to rotate it like an unfamiliar map.
Glow-in-the-dark imagery appears only in low light, suggesting a previous
owner lost after dark and pushing the guide toward something more haunted.
